Frequently Asked Questions

What is audio post-production?

After the cameras stop rolling, the real work on sound begins. Audio post-production covers everything from cleaning up and editing the recorded dialogue, to designing the sound effects, recording Foley, replacing or adding new lines through ADR, integrating the music, and finally mixing and mastering the whole thing to spec. It's the stage where a project stops sounding like a rough cut and starts sounding like the finished thing. I work on film, TV, animation and games, and as an audio post-production studio in Bucharest I can handle individual parts of the chain or the whole pipeline from start to delivery.

What types of projects does Infinity Studio work on?

Mostly animated ads with my partner VÂNĂ, short films, commercials, branded content, games and radio. I work with directors, producers, agencies and game developers, some based here in Romania and others coming to me from abroad because they need a solid audio partner in the region. Bucharest is where I'm based and where most sessions happen, but the work itself travels. If your project has a soundtrack, there's a good chance I can help.

How much does sound design cost?

It really depends on what the project needs. The main things that affect the price are the number and type of assets, how long the content runs, what format it needs to be delivered in, and how tight the timeline is. A 30-second spot is a very different conversation from a 10-episode series or a game with hundreds of interactive sounds. The quickest way to get a real number is to send me a brief and I'll come back with a clear quote, no guesswork involved.

Do you offer voiceover casting and ADR?

Yes, and it's one of the things I do most. ADR stands for Automated Dialogue Replacement. It's the process of re-recording dialogue in a studio, either because something went wrong on set or because you need the project to work in a different language altogether. I run ADR recording sessions in Bucharest in a properly treated room with direction that gets real performances out of the talent, not just technically clean reads. I'm also set up for Session Link Pro sessions so the remote studio gets the live feed from the mic and I send the backup recording just in case.

For casting, I have a network of professional voice actors across Romanian, English, Hungarian, Bulgarian, Serbian, Slovakian and Czech. I handle the whole thing from briefing and auditions through to the final recorded and edited files. Vocal localisation in Romania for animation, games and film is something I've built genuine experience in, and I'm used to working with both local productions and international teams who need someone they can trust in this part of the world. Drop me a message and I'll take it from there.
